Types Of Product Photos You May Need For Your Online Business

Store/Catalogue Photos
These types of images are individual shots of the product you are selling. These images are usually shot with the same background or with background colours on a complimentary pallet so that when customers are scrolling through your store it is unison and pleasing to the eye.
Group Product Shots / Family Product Shots
With a group shot, this is typically used on a website as header or a hero image. This shot would have a group of products in it. Your header image if it is going on your catalogue/store page should have the same background colour or colour pallet as your individual store images.
Social Media Feed
Images going on instagram should be cropped 1x1. There are many different ways to plan sharing your product images to social media. When you are building your media kit you will want to keep in mind if you will be sharing other images to your feed that will fit your branding. We like to advise clients to stay with a certain colour pallet when launching a new product and releasing the images they’ve invested in.
